Experience required

Now that I am a college graduate I have to gather experience. The truth is it seems hard not to gather experience as long as you are keeping yourself even moderately busy, and what really sets one person’s experience apart from another’s is not the amount, but how it is implemented.

In any case gathering experience in a city like Atlanta shouldn’t prove to be too difficult. This city has something for everyone. It is a true melting pot, not only of people, but of products and services. If you want it, Atlanta has it.


One of my first orders of business in Atlanta is to gather experience in night life (I’ll write about work experience when I gather it). In previous journeys I have proven my testicular fortitude by partying with ex KGB mafiosos in Bulgaria, and demonstrating the stamina it takes to party until 7am in Madrid. But something tells me that the Atlanta night life is a different beast, so I am approaching it with a little caution.

There are so many great places to party in Atlanta. So far I have had a few very interesting weekends. One of my most memorable nights included partying in the VIP of Door 44 with some “dude” that was responsible for HBO’s show about the Nevada brothel “The Bunny Ranch”. That night was insane!

It started out with a couple friends meeting in Midtown to celebrate a birthday. I bought one of my best friends (I wont name him in this blog, but he is a ridiculously large individual) a drink at the bar. As we were walking across the dance floor some fat bastard grabbed it out of his hand and said:

“what is this!?, damn you’re big!”

Then proceeded to throw the entire drink, glass and all in the trash. I was visibly altered but my friend reacted very calmly and said:

“I am going to have to punch you now” (those are the type of things you get to say when you are 6ft 6in, and 400+ pounds)

The chunky man simply aimed us towards the VIP section and signaled for us to follow. The next couple of minutes were kind of a blur.

I suddenly found myself surrounded by ridiculously hot women, my friend was being served a Grey Goose and Cranberry. What follows astounded me even more. The chunky unpleasant man that had thrown my friend's drink in the trash pulled out a fat roll of dollars and offered to pay my friend $100 just to party in VIP and drink free Grey Goose all night! My friend immediately tells the man:

“not without my friends…”


That marked the beginning of a night of debauchery.


Sadly the night ultimately culminated with some of the more rambunctious VIP guests being driven home in a squad car instead of the limo they originally arrived in. But they showed us a good time while they were running free, and also taught us a very valuable lesson: prostitution is illegal outside the state of Nevada no matter who you are.
